Doc2email is a FAX-In-Your-Pocket that enables you to FAX from anywhere at any time. It converts pictures of paper documents into FAX images and sends them using email.

The images are sent as email attachments and can be sent directly to a recipient or to an Internet FAX service.

Take a picture of a paper document and email it to the recipient, who could be:

• A friend or colleague
• A company who emailed you a form to fill in and wants you to sign it and fax it back
• A company who uses it to start a workflow or business process

The image can also be sent in other formats:

• Black and white: this is the usual format and is like a FAX; it is smallest in size (up to one hundredth the size of a color picture: 35K – 80K bytes), so it is sent very quickly
• Grayscale: this is like a black and white photograph, which is a lot larger than a black and white image but is approximately a third the size of a color photograph: 1.0M – 1.5M bytes
• •Color: this is the largest size and slowest to send: 3.5M – 5M bytes. Because of the size of color documents, it is recommended that they are only sent when the iPhone has a WiFi connection.
